BABY CHAM READY FOR INTERNATIONAL SCENE

Madhouse/Atlantic recording artist Cham has unveiled details of his eagerly awaited new album, “GHETTO STORY.” The Kingston, Jamaica native’s Atlantic debut hits stores nationwide August 15th.

Produced by Dave Kelly, “GHETTO STORY” is the follow-up to Cham’s debut album, “WOW… THE STORY,” released on Madhouse Records in 2000. Cham’s 2003 released buzz track, “Vitamin S,” was the reggae star’s first Billboard-charting single. Cham, one of the world’s greatest and most successful dancehall DJs, has been hailed a true superstar, a cutting-edge talent known around the world for his imaginative wordplay, creative sounds, and up-to-the-minute news reports of modern ghetto life.

The title track from “GHETTO STORY,” featuring Alicia Keys, saw a 33 percent rebound this week as it jumped back into Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart and bulleted to #22 in the Billboard Rap chart. “Ghetto Story” is also one of the top 5 researched records at both POWER 105 and HOT 97 radio stations in New York.

BEYONCE BLASTS RIHANNA!

Radio stations around the country are buzzing about Beyonce’s latest single Ring The Alarm. But we managed to analyzed the song’s lyrics and discovered that Beyonce appears to be sending a message to her rival Rihanna - to stay away from Jay Z.

A few months ago we first reported that Beyonce was uncomfortable with the amount of time Jay Z was spending with Rihanna. Since then, both Beyonce and Rihanna have gone out of their way to publicly deny feuding over the DEF JAM president. But in Beyonce’s latest single, she explicitly warns the teenage diva to steer clear of her man.

In Ring the Alarm Beyonce sings about struggling with a cheating boyfriend. But Beyonce quickly turns her anger from her cheating boyfriend to the other woman. In the first recorded use of foul language by Beyonce, she sings “She’s sold half a million - Gold, She don’t love [you] - that sh@$ I know.” Both of Rihanna’s albums were certified gold (500,000 copies) in the U.S. - falling short of Beyonce’s multi-platinum status.

And this isn’t the first time that Beyonce has used music to lash out against her rivals. After the very public break up of Destiny’s Child, Beyonce (then a member of Destiny’s Child) released the hit song Survivor - attacking her former group members. Among the lyrics were, “You thought that I’d be broke without you, but I’m richer” and “You thought I wouldn’t sell without you, I sold 9 million.”

BEENIE MAN AND BOUNTY KILLA CONTINUE FUED

BountyBeenieYardFlex_SeanPaul_Rihanna_Dancehall.jpgArchrivals Bounty Killer and Beenie Man dragged their ongoing ‘war of words’ deeper into the bowels of bad taste during Stormfront at Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay on Thursday night.

Not content with belittling each other, they have descended into that most foul of preoccupations — talking about each other’s mothers.
BK hit the stage at about 3:30 a.m sporting a black blazer with the words ‘cross, angry, miserable’ emblazoned across it, and a pair of black pants. BK then intimated that Beenie Man had previously disrespected ‘Ms Ivy’ (Bounty’s mother) and proceeded to announce to the 8,000 strong crowd that Beenie’s mother “ah live inna one house that ah leak”.

Killer asked: “Who ah the biggest gyal clown inna Jamaica? After me dash weh ole rubbish oonu go back go pick it up like janitor.”
This reference was in relation to Beenie Man’s upcoming marriage to D’Angel, who had been in a previous relationship with Bounty Killer for the past seven years.

Later, Beenie closed the show and gave a stinging rebuttal to Killer’s arguments.

“Killer say me mother house ah leak…me buy a six-bedroom house give me mother. Killer and fe him mother live in ah two-bedroom apartment,” Beenie said, referring to Bounty’s living arrangements with his mother in Oakland Apartments in St. Andrew.
Dressed in a red silk coat with matching silk pants and shirt, he then launched into a microwaved version of Lady Saw’s I’ve Got Your Man, with the pejorative punchline: “Angel lef’ you ’cause she tired of the tongue you got.”

Then the woman in question, the bride to be, D’Angel entered stage right where she proceeded to do two tracks, including ‘One Man’ and ‘Gyal Haffi Move’. She finished up her set with panache, even ‘wining’ seductively on Beenie Man while wicked glints of light flashed from her expensive engagement ring.
